Storytelling in Hope is the name of a group of people who love to listen to and tell stories from all around the world, in a friendly club atmosphere in South East London.

Claire and Jude open their house once more for an evening of shared stories, food and good company.

We will be recording our contribution to the Project Grimm, the creation of an international oral archive of all the stories from the Grimm brothers Children's and Household Tales to celebrate its first publication in 1812.

Bazaar Tales: group performance

In the Moroccan squares and markets, the hlaykia, the storytellers, still vie with vendors and musicians for audiences.  But they are a dying breed with no apprentices to follow them.   We celebrate their art with retellings of their stories, and an escape from the cold to the sunny Mediterranean.

Weekly meetings for those who want to develop their stories and skills with a mixture of warm-up games, technique based exercises, telling in small groups, and discussions of more general storytelling themes.
